Children's Medical Services
This program provides medical expertise and case management as well as financial assistance to obtain health care for low to moderate income children and other qualified residents. There are four programs within Children’s Medical Services:

Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP)
This program provides complete health assessments (wellness exams) for prevention and the early detection of disease and disabilities in children and youth. It stresses the importance of preventive health care. Health assessments are provided free at periodic intervals through childhood for low to moderate income children. California Children Services (CCS)
This program provides financial assistance and medical case management for children needing diagnostic and treatment services, and physical and occupational therapy services for eligible medical conditions. For further information please contact Laurie Gunby at (760) 924-5410 or [email protected].

Genetically Handicapped Person Program (GHPP)
This program is a state program that provides services to persons 21 and older with certain genetic diseases, including cystic fibrosis, hemophilia, sickle cell diseases and various neurologic and metabolic diseases. Children’s HIV Program
